Job summary

MCHAP Chaplains in Nottingham, PA, seeks a Part-Time Chaplain to serve employees and their families, delivering spiritual care and ministry across worksites, hospitals, and homes.

Responsibilities include regular visits, crisis support, funerals, grief support, and coordinating referrals, with flexible hours and no guaranteed minimum.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in an interdisciplinary, interfaith setting.
• Skilled listening and interaction with clients, employees, and families.
• Demonstrates Christian values and ministry alignment with MCHAP.
• Professional diplomacy and ability to handle confidential issues.
• Excellent oral and written communication with leadership and families.
• Strong problem-solving, policy interpretation, and follow-up.
• Proficient with Google Suites/Microsoft Office and basic tech.
• Must have active state driver's license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Makes regular visits to worksites (usually weekly) to interact with employees and build trust.
• Provides confidential pastoral discussions for personal issues as needed.
• May assist in planning, conducting, or attending funerals for employees and families.
• May make jail visits and notify families of serious incidents.
• Offers post-termination care and guidance during transitions.
• Provides and coordinates resources for life issues and referrals.
• Represents ministry services to clients and participates in new employee orientation.
