Job summary

Eliot Community Human Services in Michigan is seeking passionate Bilingual Family Support Specialists to join its MSPCC Healthy Families program. You will provide in‑home guidance to first‑time parents, teaching pregnancy basics, baby care, nurturing and attachment, and healthy child development to help families build stable, loving homes.

Responsibilities include educating parents about growth in infancy and early childhood, encouraging positive parenting, helping set goals for education, work

Qualifications

• Requires a High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working children and families
• Valid Massachusetts drivers license
• Bilingual in Haitian Creole or Portuguese

Responsibilities

• Educate parents on optimal health, growth, and development during infancy and early childhood
• Encourage positive parenting skills, enhance parental health and wellness, and improve educational attainment
• Assist parents with in setting and achieving goals related to education, work and housing
• Connect families with essential community resources, including educational, employment, financial, housing, and medical services
• Encourage co-parent involvement in program groups and activities
