The Community Group in Lawrence, MA is seeking a Family Service Advocate for the Early Head Start-Child Care Partnership program. You will build supportive relationships with families and connect them to comprehensive services, reporting to the Family Services Manager.

Your responsibilities include planning monthly Policy Council meetings, promoting family engagement, maintaining accurate child files, inputting records into the ChildPlus database, and ensuring compliance with Head Start policies

Competenze

• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience with at-risk families and infants/toddlers.
• Family Service Advocate Certification or equivalent within 18 months of hire.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and organizational skills.
• Reliable transportation required; occasional night or weekend activities.

Mansioni

• Establish supportive relationships with each family to ensure Early Head Start services.
• Participate in family recruitment activities.
• Plan and run monthly Policy Council meetings with engagement and quorum.
• Encourage family engagement in program activities and decision-making.
• Schedule monthly on-site time with educational partners.
• Coordinate events with EHS staff to reflect child participation.
• Conduct regular case management reviews with EHS team.
• Collect attendance data and input into the ChildPlus database; follow up on absences.
• Assist with obtaining health, nutrition, workforce information from families.
• Lead parenting trainings per Ready Rosie curriculum.
• Maintain complete child files for enrolled children.
• Participate in professional development opportunities (EEC StrongStart, ERSEA, Head Start).
• Adhere to Head Start Policies and Procedures.
• Maintain CPR and First Aid training; adhere to standards.
