Job summary

Erie Neighborhood House is seeking a Family Advocate in Chicago to coordinate health requirements and family partnership goals for families in the Early Childhood Education program. You will enter health data in CSD-Cares and ChildPlus and communicate with teaching staff about children’s health needs.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field, and Illinois Gateways credential level 5.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or related field preferred/required
• Illinois Gateways Family Service credential level 5 required
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States; background checks required

Responsibilities

• Coordinate health requirements and family partnership goals for Early Childhood Education families
• Enter health data into CSD-Cares and ChildPlus accurately and timely
• Communicate health needs to teaching staff and notify parents of health requirement expirations
• Maintain confidential family files and organize attendance records daily
• Assist with parent involvement activities and center events
