Job summary

Acelero Learning is seeking a Family Advocate in Philadelphia to empower parents to partner with us on their child's path to kindergarten readiness. You will support families and children across our Head Start program, promoting collaboration, inclusion, and community involvement in local schools and services.

Ideal candidates bring experience with vulnerable families, Spanish language skills, and a relevant degree.

Qualifications

• Experience working with vulnerable families.
• Must be bilingual Spanish-speaking.
• Associate's Degree in Social Work, Human Services, Family Services, Counseling, or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage families as partners in their children's healthy development and school readiness.
• Engage in collaborative partnership building with families of children receiving (Early) Head Start services.
• Foster community and belonging among families to strengthen social capital.
• Build relationships to enhance communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Effectively manage workload and maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Ensure eligibility, selection, and enrollment processes adhere to HSPS and Shine Early Learning ISP/PP.
