Job summary

Acelero, Inc. is seeking a Family Advocate (Bilingual Spanish) in Camden, NJ, to partner with Head Start families and promote childrens healthy development and school readiness.

You will work with families to support enrollment, health information collection, and attendance improvement, while building community connections and providing tailored support to vulnerable families and those with special needs. Bilingual Spanish required.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelors Degree in Social Work, Human Services, Family Services, Counseling, or related field preferred.
• AA/BA in another field with commitment to complete Family Services Certificate/Credential within 18 months of hire.
• Must have valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
• Travel locally or long-distance up to 10% for meetings and functions.

Responsibilities

• Engages families in in-home and group experiences to enhance parent/child interactions and school readiness.
• Manages ERSEA, record keeping, reporting, monitoring, planning, and a safe learning environment.
• Assists families with completing applications and collecting missing documents for enrollment.
• Supports families in health information collection and attendance goal setting.
• Establishes relationships with community partners to access resources and training.
