Job summary

Compass Connections in Fairfield, CA is seeking an Experiential Life Skills Training Coordinator to design age-appropriate life skills plans for children and coordinate daily activities with the school program staff. The role requires at least one year of supervisory or teaching experience, a high school diploma (Bachelor’s preferred in behavioral sciences or social services), and English/Spanish fluency.

This on-site position offers comprehensive benefits from day one and a Monday–Friday

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of progressive employment in supervisory, training, case management, or teaching roles.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• High school diploma required; bachelor's preferred in behavioral sciences, human services, or social services.
• First aid, CPR, and emergency behavior intervention certifications.
• Ability to travel daily between locations.
• Pass pre-employment drug screens and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Meet federal and state guidelines applicable to the position.
• Design individualized life skills plans for ages 5–17.
• Develop a Monthly Activity Calendar with the foster care school team.
• Coordinate volunteers and outside resources with Director approval.
• Maintain supplies and equipment for experiential life skills.
• Document progress and report weekly/monthly.
• Implement safety protocols including evacuations and confidentiality.
• Maintain professional conduct per employee handbook.
• Evaluate life skills needs of the service population.
• Develop and present life skills curriculum.
• Research community providers to expand resources.
• Travel daily between locations.
• Meet deadlines and reporting requirements.
