Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; TESOL/TEFL certification or equivalent; and additional training to meet needs of unaccompanied children.
• Certification by governing authority for teaching English to unaccompanied children is required.
• Fluency in English and Spanish is required; strong intercultural communication essential.

Responsibilities

• Meet federal and state regulatory guidelines applicable to the position.
• Hire, train, supervise and provide performance feedback for program personnel.
• Select, acquire, store, issue and inventory classroom equipment, materials and supplies.
• Collaborate with teachers and administrators to evaluate program effectiveness and implement improvements.
• Communicate rules for student behavior and ensure orderly operations.
