Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; basic technology skills; clerical experience or equivalent education.
• Must meet one: 48 semester hours/72 quarter hours; an Associate’s degree or higher; or passing PRAXIS Parapro Exam.
• One year of experience working with children preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish required for ESOL educational assistant role.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in classrooms or educational settings; supervise and conduct activities when teachers are absent; prepare instructional materials; set up classroom tech and assist with tests and grading.
• Provide tutoring or one-on-one help in basic skills; assist with lesson plan development.
• Monitor students in common areas; chaperone field trips; enforce safety and behavior policies as directed by the teacher.
• Perform clerical tasks supporting teaching and school operations; communicate with staff, parents, and vendors as needed.
• Attend staff and family meetings; maintain confidentiality; support the learning environment and lead as needed.
