Qualifications

• Standard high school diploma or GED.
• Completion of Teacher Assisting Curriculum and passing ParaPro or equivalent tests.
• Ability to speak/read/write English and the language of the ELL population.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher with instruction and materials for bilingual students.
• Monitor and report student progress; communicate with parents in understandable English/EL language.
• Provide translation for non-English-speaking parents and assist ESOL committees and councils.
