Qualifications

• Current Professional Educators License with an age-appropriate ESL endorsement.
• Prefer bilingual.
• Possesses strong content knowledge/experience in EL language instruction.

Responsibilities

• Develops and administers school elementary curriculum aligned with district goals.
• Promotes a virtual classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction.
• Develops lesson plans and translates plans into learning experiences for effective instruction.
• Conducts ongoing assessment and adjusts instruction to fit individual student needs.
• Instructs students on responsible citizenship and applicable laws and district procedures.
• Pursues ongoing professional learning through seminars, workshops, or research.
• Maintains accurate records of grading, attendance, and student activities as required by policy.
• Encourages parental involvement and maintains effective communication with students and parents.
• Ensures student conduct aligns with school policies and creates a positive learning environment.
• Coordinates with elementary staff and participates in faculty meetings and committees.
• Selects and requisitions books and instructional materials and equipment.
• Administers standardized tests per district testing protocol.
