Job summary

Urbana School District #116 is seeking an itinerant ESL teacher (.5 FTE) to support English language learners across elementary buildings in Urbana.

The teacher will plan and deliver instruction aligned with Multilingual Program requirements, collaborate with principals, teachers, and the RtI team, and travel between buildings as needed. A Bachelor's degree with ESL endorsement and an Illinois teaching license are required; Spanish and/or French proficiency desired.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with certification and endorsements.
• Valid Illinois Teaching License with endorsements.
• ESL endorsement required.
• Spanish and/or French proficiency desired.

Responsibilities

• Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated.
• Plans a program of study that meets the individual needs of bilingual students.
• Maintains accurate records and provides progress reports as required.
• Collaborates with general education classrooms and RtI team.
• Assists with classroom management and student welfare.
