Job summary

Townsell Elementary School seeks a BIL/ESL Instructional Aide (General Aide) to support classroom and library operations in Irving ISD. The role involves instructional support, clerical tasks, and supervising students under the principal and teachers' guidance.

Strong communication, organization, and basic math skills are expected, with bilingual English/Spanish preferred. The position is full-time (187 days) with a paraprofessional pay grade.

Qualifications

• Educational Aide I Paraprofessional Certificate or higher
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
• Preference for 60 college hours or more

Responsibilities

• Perform receptionist/clerical duties and maintain confidentiality
• Assist in inventory, records, and materials management
• Prepare materials/displays for instructional/campus operations
• Receive and process books, materials, and equipment
• Shelve books and support library/resource management
• Work with students individually or in small groups following lesson plans
• Maintain classroom routines and supervise students
• Support teachers and administrators with communication and scheduling
• Participate in staff development and professional growth
