Job summary

Avondale Elementary School District in Arizona seeks a certified teacher to provide high-quality classroom instruction aligned with state standards. You will work with mentor and master teachers, participate in TAP activities, and contribute to ongoing professional growth.

The role requires a valid Arizona teaching certificate, background check, and fingerprint clearance. English as a Second Language and SEI/Bilingual endorsements are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (minimum requirement).
• Valid Arizona teaching certificate.
• Must meet all Arizona Department of Education certification requirements.
• Minimum of a Provisional SEI, ESL or Bilingual Endorsement.
• Must be able to pass a background check upon employment.
• Must possess a valid IVP Fingerprint clearance card.
• Bilingual Endorsement (preferred).
• English as a Second Language Endorsement (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Participate in the Teacher Advancement Program (TAP) teacher instructionally focused accountability system.
• Attend ongoing applied professional growth groups (clusters).
• Participate in the TAP team-teaching/coaching model with mentor and master teachers.
• Collaborate on lesson planning and develop expertise with mentor and master teachers.
• Develop an Individual Growth Plan (IGP) and monitor progress.
• Use formal and informal assessment to monitor student progress toward goals.
• Align lessons to district curriculum and state standards.
• Demonstrate appropriate content knowledge and integration across subjects.
• Assist in designing and implementing IEPs through diagnostic teaching and supports.
• Maintain accurate records and effective communication with students and staff.
