Job summary

LA CENTA is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and PAs in a fast-paced ENT clinic in the Los Angeles area. You will perform patient intake, explain basic procedures, assist with examinations, and help the clinic run smoothly within a collaborative team.

The role requires an accredited medical assistant program graduate, HS diploma or GED, and HIPAA/CPT knowledge. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred; travel between LA clinics may be required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required
• Graduated from accredited medical assistant program
• Ear Nose Throat & Allergy clinic experience preferred
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
• Knowledge of HIPAA and CPT codes
• Ability to travel between LA clinics
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Room patients according to office standards
• Verify patient information and medical history
• Prepare patients for examination and record vitals
• Coordinate patient care as directed by physicians
• Manage EMR entries and patient records
• Assist physician with in-office procedures
• Answer phones and schedule appointments
• Maintain inventory and equipment, ensure cleanliness and sterilization
• Protect patient confidentiality and follow regulations
• Perform other duties as assigned
