Job summary

South Bend Community School Corp is seeking an English/Spanish Translator for Front Office Support in South Bend, Indiana. The role supports bilingual programs and requires strong English and Spanish skills for document translation and communication with families.

Qualifications

• Bilingual/bicultural in Spanish and English.
• Advanced knowledge of written Spanish and English.
• College degree required.
• Must be able to use Google Suite (including advanced knowledge of Google Sheets).

Responsibilities

• Translate (English/Spanish) documents and maintain files and translations log.
• Interpret in meetings/expulsion hearings as needed.
• Assist parents in completing various school forms, transportation information and school locations.
• Handle student registrations/files and inform parents of EL services - to include placement testing if certified or on EP.
• Update and review all paperwork pertaining to registrations, including magnet registrations.
• General clerical tasks (fax, copies, file, etc.).
• Assist in maintaining BSD website.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
