LG Energy Solution Michigan, Inc. invites applications for a Bilingual Engineering Support Intern/Co-Op (Chinese/English) in Lansing, MI. The role supports an Engineer across battery-manufacturing departments, learning production processes, materials, and practical applications of locking mechanisms and fasteners.

You will gather and analyze data in both languages, prepare reports, create SOPs, and develop procedures to support process development. Strong bilingual communication is essential.

Formación

• Must have bilingual proficiency in Simplified Chinese and English.
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in communication or related field -Junior or Senior standing preferable.
• Minimum GPA requirement of 3.0 GPA or higher preferred.
• Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, presentation.
• Ability to be flexible and adapt to new tasks and projects.
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated teamwork and effectiveness in accomplishing goals.
• Shows punctuality, professionalism, and a positive attitude when completing assignments.

Responsabilidades

• Gathers, analyzes data and presents analysis in a format appropriate for engineering support in both English and Chinese.
• Updates and presents reports for pricing, loss reserving, product development or other areas of the company utilizing bilingual linguistic skills.
• Performs duties related to the major functional areas of our business for our Engineering teams.
• Prepares and delivers presentation(s) on assigned topic(s).
• Attends unit, departmental, and corporate meetings as assigned.
• Shows learning and both personal and professional growth and understanding of responsibilities.
• Manages multiple deadlines.
• Completes miscellaneous assignments as assigned.
• Uses company software applications to complete assignments.
• Maintains confidentiality.
• Work with engineers and operators to troubleshoot the machines on the production floor to ensure highest yield and Optimal Equipment Efficiency Interface with team members in the plant and office, as well as external suppliers, contractors, etc.
• Improve production processes by creating various standard operating procedures ensure understanding and correct implementation to floor
• Develop procedures, forms, checklists, and schedules to support process development and improvement
• Perform any additional projects as needed.

Description

As a Bilingual Engineering Support Intern at LG Energy Solution, you will be assisting and supporting an Engineer in one of the three major battery-manufacturing departments. The specific learning objectives for the intern would be to learn general battery production process; understand battery materials – strength and composition; practical application of locking mechanisms and fasteners.
