Responsibilities

• Assist ELL students in English language development by interpreting directions, observing activities facilitated by the teacher, and assisting with instruction in the community setting.
• Prepare and organize instructional materials and equipment with teacher guidance.
• Provide instructional support to students by reinforcing teacher-directed learning through reading activities, guided practice, and individualized assistance.
• Use positive reinforcement techniques and strategies to assist in managing behavior throughout the school routine including transition times, lunch, and recess.
• Supervise students during transitions, lunch, and recess.
• Attend parent/teacher conferences as required.
• Maintain professional learning and growth by attending required training.
• Other duties, as assigned.
