Job summary

Plano ISD invites applications for an Elementary Teaching/3-5 position. The successful candidate will develop and implement engaging lessons aligned with district curricula, with accommodations for diverse learners and strong collaboration with special education staff.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree, valid Texas teaching certificate, and Special Education Certification for Early Childhood campuses. ESL certification is required for specified grades.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and valid Texas teaching certificate.
• Special Education Certification is required for all Early Childhood campus teachers.
• ESL Certification required for Pre-K to high school roles as specified.
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned to district curriculum with documented prep.
• Prepare lessons with accommodations for individual student differences.
• Present subject matter per TEA guidelines and district policies.
• Use appropriate instructional strategies and technology for diverse learners.
• Assess student learning styles and use results to adapt instruction.
• Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula per IEPs.
• Set instructional goals with staff and plan activities per district requirements.
• Supervise teacher aides and volunteers as assigned.
• Integrate technology in teaching and learning processes.
• Communicate with parents, principals, and colleagues about student progress.
• Participate in staff development and professional growth activities.
