Job summary

Minneapolis Public Schools seeks an Associate Educator - Bilingual Spanish for Las Estrellas, to support teachers and students across classrooms and after-school programs. Bilingual Spanish proficiency is required for direct student interaction and translation tasks.

Responsibilities include assisting with educational programs, promoting a safe learning environment, and helping with special education activities and student events.

Qualifications

• AA degree or completion of 90 quarter or 60 semester college credits (required) in Education, Child Development, Behavioral Sciences or related area.
• OR
• A passing score of 460 on the ParaPro Assessment AND a high school diploma/GED.
• AND two years of professional experience working with children.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with educational programs and assignments.
• Support Teachers as directed and assist with after-school and special education programs.
• Provide help to students with after-school activities and special events.
• Monitor student activities and maintain records of student progress.

Education

AA degree or 90 quarter/60 semester credits in Education, Child Development, Behavioral Sciences or related area

Two years of professional experience with children

Passing ParaPro score (460+) and HS diploma/GED
