Job summary

Salida del Sol Academy seeks an elementary/middle school teacher for a dual language (Spanish-English) program. You will teach, engage with students, and collaborate with teachers and families to support each student’s growth.

The role emphasizes classroom management of about 22 students, implementing curriculum, and fostering a love of learning in multiple content areas. Strong bilingual abilities are desired.

Qualifications

• Current teaching license or CDE substitute license.
• Salida del Sol Academy may sponsor 1 year Substitute Licensure.
• Bilingual and biliterate in English and Spanish desired.

Responsibilities

• Oversee classroom instruction and pupil behavior in class and during meals and recess.
• Inspire a love of learning and motivate students across content areas.
• Record absences and maintain classroom discipline per procedures.
• Communicate with parents about student progress and challenges.
• Be a positive influence to build character and support student success.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
