The position requires a High School diploma (or equivalent) and background checks with fingerprint clearance. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; 5+2 hour schedule; start after clearance and background checks are completed.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent; 72 quarter hours of accredited college or equivalent
• Experience: Prior job related experience with school age children; volunteer or paid
• Skills: Computer and communication skills; ability to interact with diverse groups
• Knowledge: Child development and instructional processes; PBIS/Behavior supports
• Abilities: Work harmoniously with others; bilingual in English/Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

• Provides constant supervision and monitoring of students during transitions.
• Delivers individual and small group instructional support under supervision.
• Provides behavioral support inside and outside the classroom.
• Assists with clerical tasks related to the instructional assignment.
• Maintains familiarity with safety protocols and participates in required meetings.
• Reports observations and incidents to appropriate instructional personnel.
