Job summary

Corvallis School District seeks an Educational Assistant 2 at Garfield Elementary. The role supports licensed staff in curriculum implementation, with a 6.5-hour day, Monday–Friday, in a limited-term position for the 2026/2027 school year.

Starting ASAP, the role includes assisting in small group and one-on-one student instruction, preparing materials, and helping with behavior management and safety. Strong communication and bilingual ability are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher, 72 quarter or 48 semester credits or passing district assessment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff and parents, in writing and orally.
• Ability to organize, record, store and utilize information efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Assist in instruction of students in small group and one-on-one settings under licensed staff.
• Prepare instructional materials, copies, visuals, and distribute supplies as needed.
• Supervise student activities and support the district's discipline and instructional program.
• Promote positive relationships and help maintain student safety and self-confidence.
