Job summary

Kuna Joint School District 3 seeks an EL Instructional Paraprofessional to assist teachers in Reed Elementary and support students' learning with approved materials and strategies.

Responsibilities include supervising students, reinforcing lessons, leading small groups, and coordinating with IEP/504 services as needed. Strong language acquisition experience and reliability are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Language acquisition experience required; bilingual preferred.
• Positive public relations skills.
• Demonstrated ability to accomplish the major duties listed below.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students in instructional and assessment activities, in and out of the classroom.
• Provide instructional reinforcement of lesson plans, under direction of the classroom teacher.
• Lead small group and individual discussions, skills practice and review of classwork.
• Assist the teacher to accommodate implementation of special services (IEP, 504) when applicable.
• Participate in staff meetings, staff projects and professional staff development.
• Perform such school-related duties as assigned by the principal.
• Support the creation of a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to students' maturity and interests.
• Use instructional materials adopted by the district and employ methods to meet stated objectives.
• Take all necessary precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities.
• Assist the teacher to maintain accurate, complete and correct records as required by law and policy.
• Effectively participate in collaboration with team members.
• Know and follow district policy and chain of command.
• Act ethically and confidentially in all aspects of employment.
