  • Inspect worksites and equipment for safety and compliance.
  • Develop and implement incident response and corrective actions.

Title:Bilingual EHS SupervisorJob Description:Now Hiring: Bilingual EHS SupervisorSalary: $100,000-$112,0000Shift: Days-Variable-Weekends-On CallJob OverviewThe Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) supervisor will be responsible for training employees on health and workplace safety, hazardous waste, and other occupational and environmental topics. The supervisor will contribute to developing and setting SBM’s health and safety goal; and implement and maintain on-site safety, environment, and emergency management programs and policies that assure compliance with Federal, State, and local environmental health and safety regulationsRoles & ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.Routinely manage classroom and on-site safety training programsWork with various employees to ensure all employees receive the appropriate safety training for the work they performInvestigate and monitor accidents and incidents involving security issues, fire, hazardous materials, unsafe conditions, and non-compliance issuesAssure corrective action recommendations properly addresses necessary procedural changes for the prevention of incidents in the futureWork in various settings (both indoor and outdoor) depending on training needs and work sitesWork with departments to set and reach safety goals, including trainingInspect and assess work areas, equipment, and processes for safetyEvaluate and inspect worksites and the workplace to ensure all applicable safety laws are followedUnderstand and document compliance with state and federal regulationsKeeps current with emerging regulatory compliance issues and trendsLead incident response policy development, training, and implementationMay need to work irregular hours as requiredQualificationTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, and directing work; performance evaluations; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
