Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP seeks a Bilingual EHS Manager to plan, direct, and implement the safety program ensuring a safe, healthy workplace. You will oversee training, inspections, accident investigations, and regulatory reporting, while managing workers' compensation processes and safety records.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 5–8 years of relevant experience and bilingual Spanish proficiency. Travel may be required; on-site work in Rhode Island.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a related field from a four-year college or university.
• 5–8 years of experience in safety, EHS, or related area.
• May be required to have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA rules and regulations.
• Train managers and employees in work site safety, fire prevention, and chemical handling.
• Prepare studies and analyses of accident causes and hazards for internal and external use.
• Inspect facilities to detect hazards and implement corrective/preventive measures.
• Provide information and barriers to warn of hazards and prevent access to danger areas.
• Lead accident investigations and assist in hearings and insurance investigations.
• Compile and submit accident reports to regulatory agencies.
• Oversee workers' compensation program with the insurer to reduce lost time.
• Prepare safety exhibits and material for displays and conferences.
• Represent the organization in community or industry safety groups.
• Maintain safety files and records.
• Some travel may be required.
• Bilingual in Spanish required.
