Job summary

Lincoln Street Elementary School in Hillsboro, Oregon is seeking an Educational Assistant for a 6-hour position on a 10-month calendar. You will provide educational supports to students under licensed staff supervision and assist with classroom activities to ensure safety and engagement.

Ideal candidates hold an associate degree or higher (or 48 credits) and demonstrate HQ status, English fluency, and bilingual English/Spanish abilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent
• Proficient oral and written communication skills in English
• Proficient in the use of computer and Internet based applications, including but not limited to email and systems applications
• Experience working with children
• "Highly Qualified" status (two years of post-secondary education or an associates degree; or District approved academic assessment)
• Bilingual English/Spanish (Required)

Responsibilities

• Provide educational supports to all students under the direction of licensed staff
• Supervise students in various settings and monitor for safety concerns
