Job summary

The Puerto Rican Action Board (PRAB) in Middlesex County, New Jersey, is seeking a full-time Teacher Assistant/Food Worker at Townsend ECC in New Brunswick, NJ. The role combines classroom support with CACFP meal duties and NBBOE policy adherence.

Ideal candidates hold an associate degree or NJ paraprofessional certificate, and are bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Experience in early childhood and school meal programs is valued.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or related field or NJ Paraprofessional Certificate preferred.
• Two years teaching experience in an early childhood program.
• Bilingual English/Spanish recommended.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Class Environment and assists in inclusion of students.
• Completes CACFP meal counts and attendance records.
• Plans and prepares for coherent instruction with supervision.
• Assists with health, safety, and welfare of students in the classroom.
• Maintains kitchen responsibilities including meal preparation and storage.
• Ensures compliance with NJ licensing and PRAB procedures.
