Job summary

Brightway Living & Learning is hiring an Early Childhood Aide Instructor (Bilingual) in Medford, NY. You will work closely with Special Education Teachers, supporting children with developmental disabilities using ABA-based practices and a 12-month school calendar with 9 weeks of vacation.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma, 6 college credits, NYS Level I TA certification within 6 months, and strong English language skills along with fluency in a second language.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum 6 college credits.
• Must possess NYS Level I Teaching Assistant certification within first 6 months of hire.
• Fluency in English and second language.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain classroom materials and supplies.
• Assist with bussing at arrival and dismissal.
• Follow lead of classroom teacher.
• Implement outlined behavior treatment plans.
• Demonstrate knowledge of outlined curriculum and IFSP/IEP goals.
• Assist children in all daily living activities.
• Work collaboratively with classroom staff and team members.
• Provide verbal translation as needed for staff, families and other stakeholders.
• Translate written documents as needed for families and staff.
• Other duties as assigned
