Position Details

Job Title: Bilingual Domestic Adoption Coordinator

Location: Charlotte, NC

Summary

The BDAC will coordinate services affecting children and families under supervision, handling intake services and casework for birth parents and extended family. The role requires based in Charlotte/Concord with travel across North and South Carolina.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in social work or related human services field, with relevant experience.
  • Certification in English/Spanish translation or proficiency in ACTFL Intermediate Mid or above.
  • Experience in case management, assessment, counseling, or therapy.
  • Christian believer with a Statement of Faith.
  • No criminal record affecting work with children and families.
  • Resilience and support for Christian Adoption Services' philosophy.
  • Professional conduct, organizational skills, valid driver's license, and ability to manage programs.
Essential Duties
  • Handling intake services and legal documentation in English and Spanish.
  • Coordinating regional services and providing bilingual support.
  • Supporting pregnancy counseling and community outreach.
  • Making recommendations for foster care placements.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Supervision & Policies
  • Participate in supervisory meetings and performance evaluations.
  • Represent the agency professionally and comply with licensing and ethical standards.
Professionalism & Teamwork
  • Work collaboratively with team members, respecting diversity.
  • Participate in training and quality improvement initiatives.
Client & Record Management
  • Provide casework and counseling to birth parents and families.
  • Maintain accurate case notes and quarterly reviews.
Knowledge & Training
  • Stay current with adoption trends through ongoing training.
  • Develop external resources for support services.
Additional Information

Must be able to operate office equipment, drive, and communicate effectively in English and Spanish. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to physical and environmental job requirements.
