Job summary

HomeSafe is seeking a Developmental Consultant to perform screening and assessment for young children and their families in the South Florida area. The role requires bilingual English/Spanish communication, home-based visits, and flexible evening/weekend availability to accommodate families.

You will analyze data, identify risks and needs, and coordinate referrals and services with the Healthy Beginnings program. A Florida driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field.
• Minimum of two years in child welfare, primary prevention services, child development or related field.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Valid Florida driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide Screening and Assessment services for children up to age five and their families using approved tools.
• Analyze and interpret screening data; identify and recommend appropriate services.
• Identify risk, protective factors, and client needs through assessments.
• Conduct home visits with families in their homes or community locations; flexible scheduling after school, evenings, and weekends.
• Record and report appointments, referrals, home visits, and other program activities to supervisor daily.
