Job summary

El Rio Health is seeking a Dental Assistant to support dentists and hygienists in delivering high-quality dental care in a fast-paced clinic setting.

The role involves preparing patients, assisting with procedures, maintaining sterile environments, and documenting treatment plans in our system. Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are preferred, with required radiology certification and BLS.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Arizona Board-approved radiology certificate.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
• Level One Fingerprint Clearance card (or within 30 days of hire).
• Reliable transportation for operational reassignments and a valid driver’s license if driving is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists and hygienists by passing instruments and using suction and isolation tools.
• Maintain infection control: sterilize instruments, prepare trays, and stock operatories.
• Record treatment notes, code charges, and enter treatment plans in the system.
• Prepare patients for treatment, take vital signs, and position patients for care.
• Support workflow, manage patient flow, and help cover duties as needed during shifts.
• Comply with HIPAA, safety, and organizational policies.
