Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Delivery Specialist to operate store vehicles and deliver parts to professional customers in a safe, efficient manner.

You will use handheld devices to process deliveries, collect signatures, and manage vehicle inspections while upholding security of equipment and monies. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply and enthusiasm for customer service is valued. This role includes COD deliveries, returns, and occasional cashier duties as business dictates.

Qualifications

• Must have a legally required state drivers license and meet driving eligibility requirements.
• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing delivery situations.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Use delivery fleet management handheld devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, and update vehicle mileage.
• Keep vehicles clean and perform daily inspections prior to operating.
• Secure vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet cards, devices, and monies collected at all times.
• Pick up customer returns and fill out driver return slips.
• Communicate issues or special needs from customers to store management.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs or damage to the store manager.
• Ensure fuel tank is filled and secure the vehicle at end of day.
• Clock in/out according to company policy.
• Assist customers as needed, including cashiering and merchandising tasks.
• All other duties as assigned.
