Job summary

Boviet Solar is seeking an in-house customs expert to manage imports across multiple locations, ensuring compliance with U.S. customs regulations. You will partner with suppliers, brokers, and freight forwarders to streamline clearance and cost tracking.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with CBP rules, HTS classifications, and AD/CVD/UFLPA processes, and can act as the company’s primary customs resource, guiding internal teams and maintaining accurate landed costs in SAP.

Qualifications

2–5 years of hands-on import customs experience with in-house or broker/forwarder roles.
Working knowledge of CBP regulations, HTS classification and ACE portal.
AD/CVD and UFLPA experience preferred; CCS certification a plus.
SAP and Excel experience preferred.
Detail-oriented and able to work independently as the team’s primary customs resource.

Responsibilities

Manage customs clearance for international shipments with suppliers, brokers and forwarders.
Review import documents and broker filings for accuracy.
Determine HTS classifications, country of origin, and customs value.
Apply AD/CVD and other tariffs; resolve CBP detentions and UFLPA requests.
Record shipments and landed costs in SAP.
Create import procedures and guide internal teams on customs requirements.
Other tasks as assigned.
