Job summary

Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) in Washington state seeks a bilingual Customer Service Specialist 2 to translate agency documents between Spanish and English and to provide high‑quality customer service in a fast‑paced call center.

You will handle up to 100+ calls daily from diverse stakeholders, perform translations, and assist external and internal customers while maintaining accuracy and professionalism; telework may be permitted after training.

Qualifications

• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.
• Read, write, translate and converse fluently in both Spanish and English.
• High school diploma or equivalent plus two years of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to a high volume of customer inquiries using a multi-line telephone system.
• Translate agency documents between Spanish and English; deliver this service to Spanish-speaking customers.
• Address customer issues, transcribe messages, and route calls to appropriate personnel.
• Input data quickly and accurately while navigating multiple computer programs.
• Provide bilingual services to external and internal customers.
• Support the Rotunda Reception Desk as needed and direct visitors.
