Job summary

Family Service of Rhode Island (FSRI) seeks a Central Falls Police Liaison to support crime victims and residents in behavioral health crisis. The role emphasizes on-scene crisis intervention, emergency screening, triage, and referrals, with trauma-informed care and connections to benefits.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a related field, strong crisis management, bilingual English/Spanish, and second-shift availability; health and dental benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, mental health, criminal justice or related field required.
• Experience working with law enforcement strongly preferred.
• Excellent crisis management and intervention skills.
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Possession of valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• English/Spanish bilingual skills required.
• Ability to use a computer and EMR for documentation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of Central Falls community preferred.
• Prior experience with trauma victims preferred.
• Second shift work required.
• Bilingual/ASL adds 6% above base pay.
• Multilingual adds 8% above base pay.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-scene crisis intervention and triage in collaboration with law enforcement.
• Offer information, emotional support and referrals for victims of crime and behavioral health crises.
• Coordinate follow-up support and access to benefits and services.
