The Sr. Accountant/Controller reports to the CFO of US Operations. The Sr. Accountant/Controller will provide assistance and support to the CFO in managing the Finance Department and its personnel. Working closely with the CFO, this role will handle all aspects related to financial reporting, internal controls, external audits, accounts payable and receivable, and management of donor-restricted funds. The Sr. Accountant/Controller will also review financial results with the CFO and perform ad hoc financial analyses and projects as requested.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage financial operations of a real estate asset portfolio, including daily accounting, monthly closing, financial reporting, FP&A, budgeting, and related tasks.
2. Oversee financial planning analysis using various reporting tools, including performance variance analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
3. Manage treasury and cash flow of assets, collaborating with finance team members to enhance cash management, ensure timely payments, and develop cash flow forecasts.
4. Participate in financial duties such as reporting to senior management, liaising with external lenders, and assisting in external audits.
5. Collaborate with business and finance teams at headquarters to gather information and resolve queries regarding US operations.
6. Perform ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned by the CFO in a timely manner.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 5-8 years of relevant experience, preferably in or related to Real Estate.
• CPA certification or progress towards it is a plus.
• Bilingual in Mandarin is a plus.
• Proactive with initiative-taking attitude.
• Confidence in presenting and articulating recommendations to senior leadership.
