Parkland Health & Hospital System is seeking a part-time Call Center Representative to identify caller needs, verify information, and route calls to the appropriate site. The role requires bilingual Spanish skills and thorough English communication, with emphasis on high-quality customer service.

The position emphasizes effective listening, rapid information gathering, and teamwork within Parkland’s call center, using multiple software applications to support prompt routing and communication.

Qualifications

• Must be bilingual (Spanish).
• Must pass the Spanish Language Oral Skills Assessment examination prior to employment.
• Type 20 words-per-minute with a maximum of 3 errors.
• Must pass a pre-employment spelling test with a minimum score of 85%.
• Must pass a customer service skills test with a minimum score of 80%.
• Must communicate effectively in English via telephone, overhead paging and in person.
• Must demonstrate working knowledge of personal computers and standard office equipment.
• Must communicate effectively with patients, families and hospital staff per policies.
• Must solve problems within established policies and procedures.
• Must work well in a team and complete additional job-related training as offered.

Responsabilités

• Understand importance of and follow emergency code notification processes using telecommunications systems.
• Demonstrate active listening to identify caller needs.
• Keep caller informed of call process.
• Gather and input information to route calls appropriately.
• Maintain productivity and quality standards for call center operations.
• Utilize supplies and equipment responsibly and manage Parkland resources.
