Job summary

• Ability to understand and carry out simple instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing community services by performing liaison functions between the agency and the individuals it serves.
• Interpret at service centers; help clients fill out and submit forms.
• Visit elderly persons in their homes or in institutions; visit children with no relatives in public/private facilities.
• Receive apprenticeship training in related manpower and community development programs.
• Work with community groups in health programs and pest control activities; support tenant/community outreach.
• Improve communication between the community and the agency; distribute informational material to residents and business owners.
