Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Peer Community Facilitator for the South East Recovery Learning Community (SERLC). This part-time role (5 hours/week) involves outreach into under-represented neighborhoods and leading a weekly peer support group in the southeast area of Boston.

Ideal candidates may have bilingual capacity and strong connections within Black/African American, Native American, Asian, Latine, Haitian Creole, LGBTQIA+ communities.

Qualifications

• Lived experience with mental health or substance use challenges.
• Experience facilitating groups or leading discussions.
• Certified Peer Specialist certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer directly to the SERLC Program Director.
• Collaborate with SERLC Team for strategic outreach to under-represented communities.
• Document connections for monthly statistics.
• Maintain an email list for event notifications with permission.
• Attend quarterly events in the southeast in person.
• Adhere to BMC's RESPECT behavioral standards.
