• Promotes tobacco cessation and preventive health programs.
• Participates in health education events and NC AHEC outreach activities.
• Provides basic health education through individual and group encounters.
• Assesses participant needs and provides health information and resources.
• Plans and leads group health sessions and discussions.
• Refers to family support, health, and social services as needed.
• Attends conferences as directed and supports program goals.
• Promotes Gateway health professions programs and coordinates health-related activities.
