Job summary

The teacher will develop lesson plans, use varied instructional strategies, and assess student progress while adhering to district policies and TEA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for subject and level assigned
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with district curriculum.
• Plan instruction to accommodate different learning styles.
• Present subject matter according to TEA guidelines and district policies.
• Plan and use appropriate instructional materials and technology.
• Assess student learning and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Coordinate with special education staff for IEP accommodations.
• Plan and supervise assignments for aides and volunteers.
• Establish and maintain open communication with parents and staff.
• Participate in staff development and meetings.
