Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assist a certified teacher in implementing lesson plans for individuals or small groups of limited or non-English speaking students.
• Perform clerical duties: prepare, type, duplicate and file instructional materials; grade tests and record grades; maintain student records.
• Read assignments to students and assist with reading, pronunciation, and writing exercises; support classroom rules and procedures.
• Provide classroom support by setting up work areas and distributing supplies; operate classroom equipment.
• Monitor student behavior and report progress as directed; attend meetings and in-services as assigned.
