Job summary

Argo Group is seeking a highly capable Bilingual Claims Assistant to join our Omaha office. The role may also be filled in Chicago, Los Angeles, Richmond, or Albany offices. This 100% in-office position requires working on-site during standard business hours.

You will support a nationwide team of claims adjusters, provide exceptional service to brokers, claimants, and insureds, and ensure accurate data entry and timely processing of claims and payments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and 3 years of relevant experience, or vocational/technical education with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Must read, write and speak English fluently; Spanish fluency required as well.
• Typing speed of at least 50 wpm and excellent telephone communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and other business software.

Responsibilities

• Provide clerical support to a nationwide team of claims adjusters and assist in timely, accurate management of claims by entering stop/cancel/release of checks and processing cash receipts.
• Input data and policy information for new and existing claims to keep claims data current.
• Answer incoming calls, process electronic mail, prepare written correspondence, and handle outgoing mail to enhance customer experience.
• Review claims for payment, document issue date and check number, and verify payment details.
• Review outstanding checks across systems, determine status, and prepare needed letters with findings.
