Job summary

Argo Group is seeking a highly capable Bilingual Claims Assistant to join our team and work from our Richmond office. This 100% in-office role can also be filled at our Omaha, Chicago, Los Angeles, or Albany offices, with a supervisor-based reporting line to the Claims Support Supervisor in Houston.

The role provides robust clerical support to a team of Claims Adjusters and requires accurate data entry, excellent customer service to brokers, claimants, and insureds, and the ability to manage

Qualifications

• A high school diploma (or equivalent) and 3 years’ prior relevant work experience; or vocational/technical education with at least one year of relevant work experience.
• Typing speed of at least 50 wpm.
• Clear telephone communication in English; Spanish fluency also required.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.
• Ability to work in a team and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
• MS Office proficiency and general business software skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide clerical support to a nationwide team of claims adjusters and facilitate timely management of claims.
• Input data and policy information for new and existing claims to keep records accurate.
• Communicate with customers via calls, email, and written correspondence to enhance service quality.
• Review claims for payment, document payments, and verify information across systems.
• Review outstanding checks and prepare necessary letters, documenting findings in the system.
