Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Successful completion of Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school or verifiable work experience in patient care.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient care under the supervision of the physician or APP in an ambulatory care setting.
• Assist patients and families with preparation for examination and procedures.
• Documents treatments and patient education according to policies.
• Enter medication, laboratory and diagnostic imaging orders into the EMR under provider direction.
• Demonstrates professional communication with patients, families, and staff.
