Job summary

Fiesta Mart in Houston is seeking a Checker (ages 16-17) to join our Store Operations Team. Under direct supervision, you will help maintain excellent customer service, process sales quickly and accurately, and operate the cash register.

You should be able to read and write Spanish and English, interact with customers and coworkers, and handle basic tasks like reading labels and following simple instructions.

Qualifications

• Bilingual Spanish/English is required to interact with customers and coworkers.
• Experience with customer service and cash handling is preferred.
• Ability to read labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, and basic memos.
• Comfort presenting information to customers and coworkers in small groups.
• Ability to follow simple written or oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain outstanding customer service per Fiesta Mart standards.
• Process sales quickly, accurately and efficiently; operate the cash register.
