Job summary

The Marjorie Kovler Center, a Chicago-based program of Heartland Alliance International, seeks a Bilingual Case Manager for the SOT program to provide culturally responsive case management, ensuring equitable access to benefits, healthcare, and community resources.

You will document cases, coordinate referrals, assist with applications, provide interpretation support, and collaborate with interpreters and partner organizations; in-person work 8:30-5:00; union position.

Qualifications

• This position requires an associate degree, higher education may be valuable.
• Excellent communication with clients, families, teams and leadership.
• In-person work hours from 8:30 to 5:00.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate, timely case records following agency standards.
• Provide direct case management and ongoing service coordination for SOT participants.
• Explain public benefits and assist with applications (Medicaid, SNAP, housing) and coordinate referrals.
• Assess needs across domains and coordinate referrals for employment, education, and other services.
• Provide interpretation support and collaborate with interpreters when needed.
• Build relationships with community organizations serving immigrant and refugee communities.
• Participate in supervision and team meetings; contribute to language access policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
