Urban Health Plan is seeking a WIC Outreach Specialist based in the Bronx, NY. The role focuses on community outreach, public education, and promoting health initiatives for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC).

The person will liaison with providers, visit offices, and work with three WIC locations (Bronx and Queens) to build partnerships and document activities. The position requires a high school diploma or GED and bilingual English/Spanish, with 1–2 years of related outreach experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
• Ability to liaise with medical providers and educate on WIC formulary.
• 1–2 years of outreach, tabling, or community engagement experience.

Responsabilités

• Promote the WIC Program and educate communities about services.
• Represent the WIC Program to providers and share information.
• Attend meetings with community partners and Support outreach goals.
• Update WIC formulary and referral forms.
• Conduct outreach across Bronx and Queens locations and network with staff.
• Document Outreach activities in NYWIC system.
