Job summary

Soar Autism Center is hiring a Bilingual Behavior Technician who will provide one-on-one ABA therapy for children aged 2-6 in a clinic setting. The role requires delivering sessions in English and Spanish and following intervention plans designed by experienced Masters-level clinicians.

Excellent candidates will pursue RBT certification with training provided by Soar and participate in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; BACB attestation for RBT certification required.
• Enrollment in or completion of a degree program preferred; degree in Child Development/Psychology a plus.
• Must achieve RBT certification (training provided by Soar).
• Reliable transportation to training location and center; punctuality essential.
• Previous experience with children is preferred; ability to work with kids.

Responsibilities

Our methods draw from the principles of the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), a play-based form of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy. Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one ABA therapy to children aged 2-6 in our clinic, adhering to high standards of care.
• Deliver therapy in both English and Spanish to support our diverse client base.
• Implement intervention plans crafted by our expert Masters-level clinicians, ensuring alignment with Applied Behavioral Analysis therapy principles.
• Provide bilingual support during family meetings, communicating in both English and Spanish.
• Foster relationships with families, keeping them informed about their child's progress within the ABA framework.
• Engage in ongoing training and development, staying updated with advancements in ABA therapy and RBT certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, or equivalent, is required (as verified by resume, application, or BACB attestation for RBT certification)
• Proficiency in both English and Spanish (Proficiency Test required for additional pay increase).
• Strong preference for either enrollment in or completion of a degree program. Bonus for degrees in Child Development, Psychology, or related fields
• Ability to achieve and maintain RBT certification (Soar will provide paid training)
• Previous experience with children and enjoyment working with children
• Must have reliable transportation to both training location and local center. Punctuality is essential
• Must be able to meet the following physical requirements: sit and stand frequently, shift positions quickly, lift up to 50 lbs., sit/kneel on the floor for extended periods of time, sit in a chair, stand, walk, and occasionally run short distances to catch up with a client
• Ability to work on a team
